Egemden awarded by iF Design Awards, one of the most prestigious design contests in the world

Egemden glass bottles, with their elegant design, are selected as the best product design in the food category at the world-famous iF Design Awards.

Turkey’s largest oil producer Savola Foods received the best product design award in the food category at the world-famous design contest, iF Design Awards with Gourmet Series Glass Bottles designed by Ümit Ünal.

The world’s oldest and independent design organization, iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover, holds the iF Design Award every year.

In this prestigious organization, Egemden Gourmet Series Glass Bottles, evaluated by 67 jurists consisting of independent experts from all over the world, competed against more than 6,375 competitors from 52 countries.

Proving its success with international awards, Egemden, was awarded with 2 ‘Golden Awards’ at the Crescents and Stars of Packaging Competition, one of the most prestigious competitions of Turkey and with “Platinum”, “Silver” and “Gold” awards at the London International Olive Oil Competitions, the most prestigious contest in Europe with its Gourmet Series Glass Bottles designed by Ümit Ünal.

Egemden Gourmet Flavors Series are made from olives grown in Ayvalık region in Northern Aegean, and offer Early Harvest, Organic and Cold Press variations to the taste of olive oil lovers looking for unique flavors.

Incorporating Turkey’s leading edible oil brands, Savola Foods has Yudum, Sırma, Egemden, Cielo, Brillo and Afia brands under its roof. In addition to its success in the edible oil market, Savola Gıda has served as an expert olive oil producer in Turkey for many years and is positioned as the largest branded olive oil exporter of the country. And Savola Foods produces Turkey’s most preferred edible oils with its Yudum and Sırma brands.

Turkey’s leading edible oil brand in the sector, Yudum started its olive oil production in 1975 at Istanbul Golden Horn Plants. After moving the plants to Ayvalık in 1984, the production capacity was increased through new investments, and Savola Foods started to produce cooking sunflower and corn oil under Yudum and Sırma brands in addition to olive oil. In 2008, Yudum Foods joined the Savola Group operating in edible oil, sugar, packaging, retail and real estate sectors in the Middle East and Gulf Region, North Africa, Iran and Central Asia. The company’s name was changed to Savola Foods Industry and Trade Inc. in 2017. Producing Turkey’s most preferred edible oils with Yudum and Sırma brands in the edible oil market for many years, Savola Foods has the Ayvalık plant on an 18,000 m2 – open space with 130,000-ton corn oil and sunflower oil and 20,000-ton olive oil annual production capacity.
